Line Cooks

We are now building our kitchen team up and are in search of two capable and excited cooks to join our ranks. 

Father Carpenter is a breakfast & lunch restaurant coming from Australian roots. Over the past decade we have helped forge a strong and robust breakfast culture in Berlin by providing what we like to call 'quality focused comfort food with a twist'. We have our staples that stay on the menu, but change up the food and drink menu as the seasons ebb and flow, delivering and taking away certain ingredients.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook to the set standard and restaurant recipes.
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen and work area, following all sanitation and safety procedures.
• Work under guidance of our Head Chef.
• Develop yourself within the workplace.

Requirements:

• Be well presented, confident and have a positive attitude.
• Be passionate about quality food & hospitality.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role in a high volume restaurant.
• An understanding of Australian cafe culture and breakfast restaurant cooking.
• A desire to work with a continually changing menu, so a degree of creativity. 
• Strong knife skills and the ability to work quickly, cleanly and efficiently.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain consistency in food quality and presentation.
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work as part of a team.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including early starts, weekends and public holidays.

This offer of employment is subject to you supplying Father Carpenter GmbH with the following:

• Passport
• Visa / proof of eligibility to work in Germany
• Health insurance number and tax class
• Marital status and number of children (if applicable)
• Red Card (Rote Karte/Gesundheitskarte)

This position is part-time or full time, but between 30-40 hours per week and 4 or 5 days per week. 
1 month holiday per calendar year.
